MFA Flower Making Thesis

For my graduate thesis I made and researched how to create silk flowers for the stage and themed entertainment. The theory was that if you know how to make them look realistic, then you know how to alter the process to fit your theme or design. These Dahlias can be sized up or down and can be almost any color or pattern needed. You can alter the texture and the bend in the petals. By looking at several different flowers, I can now combine techniques as needed to create alien flowers or cartoon flowers. 

After this project I acted as the florist for my own wedding and created memorable arrangements and keepsakes that my bridal party and myself can store and keep forever.
